About

This course offers birth doulas, midwives, and maternity workers a woman-centred, holistic approach to addressing disparities and improving outcomes in Black maternal health. Designed for the School of Antenatal, the curriculum focuses on clinical advocacy, cultural competency, and trauma-informed care during the antenatal and postpartum periods. You will gain the vital skills needed to help Black families make informed choices and navigate the systemic challenges present in modern maternity care.
