The Postnatal Doula Training Programme prepares learners to provide professional, non-clinical support to families during the fourth trimester and early months following birth. The course focuses on maternal recovery, newborn care education, emotional wellbeing, family adjustment, communication, safeguarding, and professional practice. Doulas are trained to complement — never replace — clinical medical care. The programme aims to: Prepare safe, ethical, and compassionate Postnatal Doulas; Support maternal physical and emotional recovery; Promote informed and confident newborn care; Strengthen family wellbeing and adjustment; Equip learners to establish a sustainable doula practice.
